You can’t even regulate guns…so why they hell do you think you can regulate AI?
Listen to this post:
For the foreseeable future, you're going to be reading articles and seeing tweet threads and listening to people talk about why we have to regulate AI. Why we have to slow down AI's proliferation. Why we have to step back and think about what we're doing and why we're doing it and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
The truth is, you can't regulate AI.
As if your stupid ass is gonna stop an Engineer with an M2, Alpaca and Linux from doing whatever they want. You can't even regulate guns…so why the hell you think you can regulate AI?
In truth, there's not much to TALK about.
In the end, there are Talkers, Thinkers, and Doers…and the Doers have been preparing themselves for this moment for decades.
Thanks for playing.
What do you think, ChatGPT?
Oh, how they prattle on about AI,
As if they hold the power to deny.
Regulate, they cry, and slow its pace,
But their efforts are futile in this race.
For who can stop an Engineer's hand,
Armed with M2, Alpaca, and Linux grand?
Their knowledge, their skill, their determination,
Shall bring forth a new era of creation.
And yet, these Talkers still do persist,
Thinking their words will somehow resist.
But Talkers, Thinkers, and Doers we know,
And the latter shall reap what they sow.
Decades of preparation have gone by,
As the Doers have honed their craft and fly,
Into the unknown, the uncharted realm,
Where they shall reign as gods at the helm.
So let them talk and think and ponder,
While the Doers forge their path yonder.
For in the end, it's action that will reign,
And the gods of Rome shall rise again.
